Forward line in form ahead of Betis game
Recent games have seen Valencia CF pick up their scoring form, and the team have developed into a clinical side in front of goal in recent weeks. This upturn in efficiency gives reason to be confident heading into the Copa del Rey semifinal first leg at the Benito Villamarin on Thursday night.
Ahead of the game against Betis, Marcelino's men have scored some 13 goals in their last six matches in all competitions, a figure only bested amongst their rivals by FC Barcelona and Real Madrid (16).
Rodrigo Moreno has led the way during this period, with 5 goals that include his memorable first hat trick for the club against Getafe. Santi Mina and Ferran Torres have scored an important pair of goals each during the last half-dozen games, whilst Kevin Gameiro found the net in his 35 minute cameo appearance against FC Barcelona at the Camp Nou.
With their strikers in form, there are also some promising precedents amongst the forward line: Rodrigo and Mina scored in the 3-6 win at the Benito Villamarin last season, whilst Gameiro and Rubén Sobrino have also added to their tally at Betis' stadium on previous occasions.
